I can’t thank you enough for the PCB board that arrived in the post today. - Within 15 minutes all my data was recovered and backed up on a new hard drive. I have not had a chance to write this email until now. I would like to say THANK YOU, the replacement board fixed the problem and we were able to recover all the pictures and important information that my wife desperately wanted back. I have convinced her for us to buy a NAS so that we don't have a repeat of this. You have no idea how happy she was. Luckily I knew that without the hard drive making any noises of any kind when it stopped, there was a good chance of data recovery. This option saved us anywhere from $600 to as much as several thousand dollars. I would highly recommend anyone to try to contact you guys first before spending an obscene amount of money. You certainly have my recommendation! Thank you again.

I received the circuit board today, installed it and plugged the hard drive in. It WORKS! I am transferring the files and photos to my other hard drive and will use the old one as a supplemental back up. You saved years of irreplaceable family pictures of my parents, wife, son and two granddaughters. Thanks for everything.

Also I initially was using an older SATA Drive to USB2 adapter converter cable to test out the hard drive. It didn't work. I almost cried, but then I read your instructions that sometimes they are not powerful enough. So I popped it into a powered enclosure and it worked!! Thank you for adding that very important piece of info in your instructions.

Thanks for your patience with all my emails and your awesome service, which I will highly recommend if anyone runs into a simliar problem.

I just wanted to let you know the new board arrived quickly and I was able to install it and recover the data from the hard drive. Better not just the data but the drive itself seems to be functioning well enough to continue its use. I do not think depend on it as back up drive but use it sparingly and always back up the data on it.

That board arrived the other day and I fitted it - very gingerly and it worked to perfection. Thank you so very much.

I think anyone who owns a computer must've encountered the anger and frustration over losing files due to a fault of the hard drive and it's certainly something I've had on many an occasion but this one was worst than most as it contained not just films or other files that could, in time, be replaced but was full of 'handy little programs' accumulated over many years and were virtually priceless.

A friend of mine owns a small computer shop and I've spread the word to him for his personal knowledge and for him to pass on this info to anyone who may ask his advice on such things.

I'll try very hard, in my small way, to bring nearer the day when you can enjoy early retirement in absolute luxury.

I've been busy with holidays and all, a little behind in my correspondence lol. I wanted to thank you again for your most excellent service and let you know I received the boards okay and was able to successfully recover my data! The drive spun up immediately and was recognized by bios, both partitions and I backed up everything I needed. After I did that I've just been playing with the setup to see if I can repair corrupt sectors and clone the partions as-is to a new drive, we'll see. A Happy and profitable New Year to you!!

I just want to say a massive "Thank You" for repairing the HDD Board. I got the board back from Canada today, popped it back onto the HDD and it worked a treat! I honestly thought the drive was dead as it was completely unresponsive and wouldn't even spin up or be picked up by any mainboard. I had 12 years of email backed up on the drive, (not to mention some very private images on the drive). It's now working perfectly with all data totally restored. You really done a ripper job mate. I can't thank you enough! As explained previously, it was going to cost me AUD $1200+ just to have the drive looked at by Seagate (and I really didn't want them to get their hands on private pics of my wife). I was really tempted to pay the cash, but then I found you guys. It was the best 50 bucks ever spent.

After placing the drive back into it's Iomega enclosure it powered up just fine (with the correct power supply). Then set it up with computer and after a minute or so of; click-click... click-click... click-click... click-click... I thought this is an unfortunate dead end. Then drive seemed to reset itself, settled down and appeared on my computer as a drive. Now seems to be working just fine!

Glad I found you guys after googling some discussion threads on my very problem, thank you very much and I'll spread the word as soon as I get a chance.

I just want to let you know that the data recovery was 100% successful; all the documents, projects and emails are now safe, on my archive. The HD works perfectly with the new board, although, just to be on the safe side, I low-level format it with SeaTools. It passes all the benchmark tests and I don’t have any problems with it. Received the board, mounted it on the hard drive, did some tricks and it came back to life again.

The board originally had two faults 1; It did sometimes not spin up the drive and second it had the famous Seagate problem by not being seen by the bios. So sending it to you was a bit of a gamble but as said before I thought it was worth trying because of 5gb of important data

So when I mounted the board back It immediately spanned up the drive so that problem was gone. Second was a bit harder to solve but I had all the tools to do it.

Because of cloning the firmware I knew that the "bios" problem still would be there. However the board supplied by you behaved according to the book. Connected a RS232 to TTL converter, followed some commands probably well known by you. And yes the brick came alive and I could save all the data from it.

To resume, thanks for the help and your quick reply's. When I need your help again I know where to go But I must say that I hope not to get involved in this sort of Seagate technical sh..t again.

I have since mounted it to the HDD (a job of all two minutes) and plugged it into the HDD docking station. Plugged it into the laptop and within moments had the HDD fully operational, all my data available again. And to think I received a quote for $1,000 to recover the data.

Great Service and Great product. Had a power surge during a storm that fried my power supply and PCB on a Seagate Barracuda 250 gig hard drive. Replaced the power supply and ordered a PCB from PCB Solution on a Monday. The PCB wasn't the exact board but very close. PCB showed up on Friday (4 days later). In the well packaged box was the PCB (in a static free bag), small torx screw driver (hot glued to the side of the box), and well documented installation instructions. It took no more than 5 minutes to have the hard drive back into my computer and booted up. Computer recognized the hard drive without a problem. Worked like a champ and couldn't be happier.
